Preserving
the memory and heritage of the
Pennsylvania
Reading Seashore Lines
The Biggest Little Railroad in South Jersey
Discussions of the PRSL Prototype and in Model form are welcomed!
The Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines (PRSL) was a joint venture of the Pennsylvania Railroad and Reading Railroad in
South Jersey. Both railroads had built rail networks in the region, but the
Great Depression cut into profits. The ICC forced both railroads into a merger.
The two companies joined their southern New Jersey lines on June
25, 1933 into one company, which the PRR had a 2/3
ownership in.
It is free to join!
Becoming a member means you must
join the PRSLHS emailing list first to confirm your membership. The membership
is on line only. We do not have a printed newsletter of any kind.
Below
is where you can subscribe to, or unsubscribe from, the mailing list members @prslhs.com
Note the following:
After doing the above, you should quickly get (within 1 minute) a confirmation email
back with the first line of “We received a request for subscription to the
following mailing list" that includes a long link. This is NOT SPAM. Check your SPAM filters for the
confirmation email after about 2 minutes or perform a send/receive with your
Outlook. Click on the highlighted blue link to confirm your email address and
you should get a massage that you are now confirmed on the email list. You will
now start receiving the emails from the PRSLHS membership email list.
If you DO NOT get the confirmation email, there is
absolutely NOTHING I can do to get you confirmed. You
should try to join with an email address from another ISP or email service. If
you are on AOL or don’t know what to do, forward the confirmation email to me. I have successfully confirmed
members this way myself.
PRSLHS Member Rich Taylor forwarded
this link to a great webpage on the railroads

If you have 10 minutes, there is a PRSL
